Live Debate - UK Biodiversity Strategy 2020
Time & Location
About the Event
The UK Biodiversity Strategy is centred around restoring biodiversity in the UK's' terrestrial and marine environments. In the current economic context, biodiversity protection and restoration could be key to economic recovery!
After Brexit and the coronavirus crisis, the UK faces a massive unemployment wave and has to show its commitment to protecting the environment to not fall behind some of its European neighbours. Indeed, the UK will not benefit from the massive recovery plan adopted by the European Council and will thus have to find other ways to combat the upcoming economic challenges. Has the policy achieved its objectives? Could the biodiversity be the key to employment, innovations and environmental leadership?
What are the experts saying about this policy?
